Marinated Oranges. Raisins, almonds, oranges, and Marsala wine…. This very simple recipe is not among the traditional Sicilian dishes, but has all the Sicilian ingredients. Refreshing, flavorful, and very easy to prepare, it is ideal at the end of a fall dinner.
1/2 cup (60 g) Raisins
1/4 cup (50 g) sugar
1 cup (230 cc) Marsala wine
1/2 cup (60 g) sliced almond, lightly toasted
Peel and slice the oranges (or wedge them), eliminating the white peel.
Add the raisins, sugar, and marsala wine. Place in the refrigerator to marinate for about 2 hours.
Just before serving, spread the top with the sliced, toasted almonds.
