Chocolate  Heart Shaped Cookies
 Cuoricini al Cioccolato
2 cups (300 g) all purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
3/4 cup (100 g) chocolate powder
pinch of salt
6 oz (175 g) sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
6 oz (175 g) butter, melted
1 - 2 tablespoons milk
Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C). Cover 2 flat cookie sheets with parchment paper. Combine all the dry ingredients, the flour, baking powder, chocolate powder, and salt, together.
Simple and fun to make, these small chocolate cookies, are baked in a heart shape for Valentine’s day, but can be cut in any shape you like. They are just delicious served with coffee of tea. Kids love them at any time of the day and especially as a surprise in their lunch box.

Flatten the dough on a floured work surface with a rolling pin approximately 1/4 inch (5 mm) and cut with a heart shaped cutter (or any other shape). `
Sift into a bowl.
Open n hole in the center of the flour mix . . . .
. . . add sugar . . . .
. . .  eggs . . .
. . .  butter and milk.
Work all the ingredients until a soft but un-consistent paste results.
Transfer the dough to a floured work surface and knead for a few seconds.
Place the cookies on the pans. Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes.
